My wife and I were going for a walk along a riverside path. We decided to go down to the bank so the two dogs we were walking could get in the water and cool off a little. There, I saw a flat rock with shallow water above it, so I went to step on it to cool my feet. I immediately slipped into the river and got soaked from the waist down, phone in pocket and all. My phone wouldn't charge, after this event. The screen and everything else worked, but it wouldn't charge, even after I left it in rice for many hours. I took it to a specialist who said that they didn't have any way to fix my phone since it required parts they didn't have, and they confirmed that it wouldn't charge with any of the charging cords they had. I thought I might need a new phone, which was a problem because we couldn't afford to buy a new phone, nor could we afford to get one on credit.
